SAFER|GREENER|STREAMLINED
About the Asset
The two platforms covered in this study are located in the UKCS.
Katoni’s role in supporting the Client
We undertook power system analysis studies to assess the viability and impacts of removing the main generation from one platform and supplying it from another platform which has spare generation capacity, via a new subsea cable interconnecting the two installations. The scope consisted of:
· Creation of software model of the combined electrical network from scratch
· Load flow analysis
· Short circuit fault level calculations
· Motor starting & transient stability studies
· Harmonics analysis
Collaboration in action:
Understanding Client’s needs & Delivery – Katoni were asked to complete this study within a very demanding schedule to meet the Client’s own internal deadlines for this project, which we supplemented by issuing interim reports for each of the above studies.
The Katoni Way – working closely with the Client we were able to feed confirmed results to them as the study progressed which allowed them to develop their own internal scopes rather than having to wait until we issued the final report to them, allowing them to keep to schedule.
Ø Project delivered within budget and helped Client meet their internal deadlines for the Project
