Katoni had the pleasure of participating in this year’s Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) in Amsterdam, held on Tuesday, the 26th, and Wednesday, the 27th of November. It was an incredible two-day event where we had the opportunity to meet fantastic people, make new connections, and showcase what Katoni has to offer to the Dutch energy market.

What We Got Up To

We were thrilled to take a stand at the conference, which was buzzing with professionals from diverse backgrounds. It was great to meet so many individuals, exchange ideas, and discuss opportunities within the industry. Connecting with people from all walks of life is always one of the highlights of events like OEEC, and this year was no different.

We offered visitors a true taste of Scotland. We treated them to Scottish tablet and shortbread, which were a big hit! To elevate the experience, we also hosted a whisky tasting session, led by our very own CEO, James Bream. This turned out to be one of the standout moments of the event, with many people stopping by to sample a variety of whiskies and enjoy some lively conversation. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the tasting and made it such a memorable experience.

Exciting Giveaways

We also brought along some exciting prizes for our visitors, adding an extra layer of fun to the event:

  • A signed AFC Ajax football strip was given away to the lucky winner of the Ball Game competition at our stand.
  • A signed Aberdeen FC shirt by Dutch player Vicente Besuijen found a new home with another fortunate winner.
  • One attendee walked away with a bottle of Glenglassaugh Torfa Scottish Whisky, bringing a true taste of Scotland back home.

A Bit of Doric in Amsterdam

As a nod to our roots, we introduced some of our Dutch friends to the Doric dialect, preparing them for future adventures in Aberdeen. Teaching phrases from our local language was both fun and educational (for all of us!), and we hope they’ll put their newfound skills to good use.

A Successful Event for Katoni

Everyone from Katoni who attended thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was an excellent opportunity to share our story, meet new people, and connect with fellow professionals in the offshore energy industry. The warm reception from everyone we met made the experience truly worthwhile.

We’d like to thank everyone who visited our stand and took part in the conversations, tastings, and competitions. It was a pleasure to meet you, and we hope to see you all again next year at OEEC 2025!

Thank you, Amsterdam – until next time!
