The role

This is a key role at Katoni in the oversight and commercial success of discipline teams. In addition this role is responsible for the competent delivery of discipline work.

In this role you will be responsible for the Team, producing, reviewing, commenting on and accepting proposals, calculations, specifications and drawings while ensuring that the work is planned and executed in accordance with Katoni’s project execution plan and policies for Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental protection.

In this Leadership role you will also support the Management of our Commercial, Delivery, Resourcing of your discipline Teams.

You’ll lead by example and help ensure each team is profitable, culturally in line with the Katoni Way and meets your expectations of what Katoni is.

You’ll liaise with clients and make sure we are meeting their needs also discussing future opportunities for Katoni to provide support. You should also feel able to call clients on an ad-hoc basis and liaise with any member of the team internally.

Your experience will mean you’ll work with minimal supervision but be rest assured the team is here to support you. As part of this role you’ll undertake external training and that will include formal mentoring on commercial matters. Part of this will be spending time and effort building your own brand and Katoni’s.

The role on offer is a full-time, onshore based, staff position and would be well suited to a construction professional with an O&G EPC heritage with extensive experience with site construction within the UKCS.

Applicants should be of a growth mindset and can easily establish relationships to spearhead the Katoni offshore construction business.

Key functions/activities:

  • Lead and supervise all offshore construction/commissioning projects.
  • Assist with resourcing of personnel focused on understanding of trades and certifications
  • Ensure that offshore Competency is monitored and maintained.
  • Provide sufficient oversight of offshore trade and vendor personnel, coordination with client representative.
  • Construction Readiness activities.
  • Identify and call off the required Tools, Plant, Equipment and Consumables for offshore construction campaigns.
  • Where required arrange shipping and transport of PPE, tooling and other equipment
  • Managing construction-related bids and proposals.
  • Assist with offshore construction schedules.
  • Provide Progress Reports and daily calls as required
  • Single Point Accountability for client on certain contracts.
  • Incident Investigation Experience (desirable)
  • Collaborate with onshore Engineering teams where required.
  • Engaging with existing and new customers to develop the business.
